I stopped playing all Halos as soon as the MCC was announced. I'm waiting for Halo MCC.
Funny thing, after the Xbox One was released and one time when we were playing Halo 4 split screen on the 360 last year, I mentioned to my brother "MS should remaster Halo 4 in 60fps and release it for $20-30" because of how bad the performance got when there was too much on screen while playing in splitscreen. I never thought I'd get this much value for $60.
After playing the Destiny beta I was disappointed by the PVP in the game but I'm looking forward to playing the PVE.
PVP in Destiny was crap and after years of Halo I couldn't believe that shitty PVP in Destiny was made by Bungie, the same people that created the legendary Halo multiplayer! One thing for sure however, Destiny PVP plays nothing like Halo and nowhere as fun or balanced either.
From what I've seen there didn't seem to be a lot going on on the screen at once. All there was in there is low-poly character models, low-res visual effect and flat textures from the PS2 era.
Sure, I'd take good gameplay over shiny graphics any day of the week but from what has been shown so far, this game doesn't seem like much fun.
Sometimes I feel like most Japanese developers are still stuck in 2001. I mean look at those graphics, animations, soundtrack, and gameplay. Everything about this game looks outdated. If you gave Dead or Alive 3 a resolution boost (even to just 720p) it would still look better than this game which is kind of ironic since DOA is also a Tecmo game (Made by the real Team Ninja).
@vandal
Are you high? Crysis 3 ran smoother than butter on my PC. It was one of the most optimized PC games in recent memory.
All of the sudden, Ryse is awesome and all Sony fanboys have 4k capable gaming rigs!
On topic, I'm glad it's coming to PC so that I can double dip it when it goes on sale and also so my graphics-whore brother can benchmark it instead of playing it.
I know this isn't a popular opinion but I actually welcome this change. I remember first time playing MGS and Hayter's voice just felt unnatural and robotic to the point where it almost sounded comical. However, I'm not exactly a big fan of MGS so the series' fans rage and dislike of this change is understandable.
I've been playing online multiplayer for the past few hours and haven't encountered any issues with any aspects of XBL. None of XBL services is completely down however some users are having issues with some services and it's clearly stated in the Xbox support page that the affected services are "LIMITED" not "DOWN"!
The Xbox One already has DLNA support in the form of the "Play to" feature. The current implementation might not be full DLNA features but it has been there since launch and it worked almost perfectly when I streamed videos from Windows and Android devices.
I'm sure you feel like a dumbass either way, because you are!
@Volkama I also hate screen tearing more than anything and last night I played the beta on the X1 and haven't noticed any tearing at all.
Oh! The irony! Unless you were being sarcastic.
@DragonKnight
The increase of speed is actually expected since USB 3.0 is faster than SATA 2.0(AKA SATA 3 Gbit/s) which both the X1 and PS4 use for their internal drives.
@Godmars290
You obviously don't understand the technical details regarding this topic (which is fine) but no need to jump to conclusions.
USB 3.0 theoretical throughput = 5Gbps
SATA 2.0 theoretical throughput = 3Gbps
Only the main theme was good in Far Cry 3, the rest of the soundtrack was unmemorable. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, on the other hand, had an awesome soundtrack overall.
@Ace Killa 08
How were the people who bought the Xbox One with Kinect were forced? It's not like MS held a gun to their heads and forced them to buy it! Anyone who bought it at the time knew exactly what they were getting. Those who were not happy with the inclusion of Kinect wouldn't/shouldn't have bought the console in the first place.
People even bitched when the Titanfall bundle was selling for $450....What did you expect! Now, they'll find something to bitch about....maybe how the standalone Kinect would most likely retail for $150.
It's what people asked for and it's what they got. While I'm not a Sony fan, I always preferred their version of free games with PS+ model. So, I'm glad if it means we're getting better games now since they've gone with a subscription model with GWG for Xbox One as I've always been a Gold subscriber and it wouldn't have made a difference for me if a subscription was required for the games to run.
"Wow...... Oh shit.... Damn was expecting this at E3. Why now?"
If they're confident enough to announce all of this before E3, it only means they have even much bigger news to announce at E3.
@DragonKnight Damn! I didn't think you were serious but it turned out to be true. Now my hype for Mirror's Edge 2 is dead and I fear they're going to screw it up.
Bu...bu..but it's Sony and they do it because they love gamers and Microsoft is the devil, everything they do is all about money unlike Sony who donates 96% of their profits to charity and stuff!
